Ram Charan couldn't digest the fact that his father and matinee idol Chiranjeevi has said goodbye to the acting career.

The young hero says he has dreamt of shaking a leg with his dad, alike Abhishek-Amitabh's 'Kajra Re' song.

"i dreamt of doin a song like kajra re wit dad .i really envy abhishek bachan to hav acted wit his dad in soo many movies," tweeted Ram Charan.

It was not Ram Charan alone, but many people who admired Chiru all these years as a film star were upset with the statement he had made.

Meanwhile, Chiru expressing his desire to become CM openly is drawing mixed response from the political circles. However, Chiru's coterie has defended it by saying their leader has made that comments taking future prospects into consideration.

"Chiru was assured by Congress High Command that he would lead the Congress campaign in the 2014 elections," said a source close to the star politician.

Hope Chiru reconsiders his decision of quitting films to fulfill his son's dream and also fulfills his very own dream to become CM.

Why Chiru Not Taking Brothers' Names?

Though Chiranjeevi is a man of film charisma, the observers have tagged him as a poor communicator and lacks tact in his words. The reason for this discussion is the recent set of statements that Chiru gave regarding his dream of becoming a CM and quitting films permanently.

 

Apparently, Chiru said “I have given all my film related stuff to Ramcharan. I am into public service only.” Those who heard this say “If he had said my brothers, my brother-in-law then it would have been fine. But this has become a comedy. Why he is not taking his brothers’ names? Is he giving more thoughts to media about his friction with them?”

 

They added “Many times, diplomatic statements are given in front of the media to maintain cover and things are settled internally. But Chiru went ahead with his own style and has given feelers to media circles.” Let us see what will come next from the mega camp.               

I wanted to prove that Big B is not old: Puri Interview

Tollywood director Puri Jagannath, who is returning to Hindi films after seven years with "Bbuddah...Hoga Tera Baap" in which Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan plays a bold and flamboyant role, says he made the movie to tell the people that the 68-year-old actor is still young.

"I'm a big fan of Amitabh Bachchan since childhood and I used to watch all his movies. But then came a time, when he started doing films that I didn't like him in," Jagannath told IANS in an interview.

"After 'Mard' I didn't see his films till he did 'Sarkar' and that was perfect for him," he said.

"I wanted to make a film just for him and make it in a way that I can tell people that he is not old. He still has that fire, he still has that charisma. Hence was born the idea of this film," he added.

In "Bbuddah...Hoga Tera Baap", Bachchan is seen as an angry man who wears bright, bold, over-the-top clothes and hates it when someone calls him old. The films also stars Hema Malini, Raveena Tandon, Sonu Sood and Sonal Chauhan and is slated for release Friday.

The 44-year-old director, who had a grim beginning at the Bollywood box office in 2004 when he made "Shart", is confident about success this time and believes that people will like Big B in the new image.

"I have been confident about this character from the very beginning. Bachchan is very good with every emotion, whether its's drama or comedy, and he is truly an entertainer. So I'm sure people will like him in this image as well," Jagannath said.

The Telugu director, who has made successful films like "Badri", "Pokiri", "Chiruta" and "Neninthe", among others, said working with Bachchan was one of the best experiences he has ever had.

"It was a wonderful experience working with Bachchan. He is a very cool and calm person and very co-operative. I learnt a lot from him," he said.

"Sometimes he even used to give his opinion. He is very committed and focused. He will practice the scene at home, will tell me how he will do it and if I make some last-minute changes, he would incorporate them," he said.

"He used to always be fully prepared. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him," he added.

After "Bbuddah... Hoga Tera Baap", Jagannath is looking at making a stronger presence in Bollywood and planning to start working on three Hindi films next year.

"I want to do more Hindi films now. I have three scripts. I want to start working on them next year. However, the cast and other things are not confirmed as of now," he revealed. (IANS)

In sharp contrast to Chiranjeevi’s public display of chief ministerial ambition, Junior NTR is silently working towards his goal of taking over the reins of Telugu Desam Party from his uncle N Chandrababu Naidu.

Slowly but surely, Junior NTR wants to achieve his goal by 2019.

Without making it very obvious, he has been discreetly making the moves to create a situation where pressure will mount from the cadre for a change of guard. A perception is being created in the party that somebody from NTR’s family should take over the party to arrest its slide.

According to sources, Junior NTR, who has earned a good reputation for his oratory skills and mass appeal, has been confiding in his close friends that he would enter active politics after a couple of years. At present, he is focusing on his film career.

Junior NTR is of the view that 2014 may still not be favourable to TDP but in the years ahead there is a bright prospect for the party’s revival. He also does not foresee any competition from Naidu’s industrialist-son Nara Lokesh for taking control of the party.

Already, there are indications of a simmering succession battle in the first family of the regional party. The rift came out in the open during the recent “Mahanadu” when Junior NTR’s father and party MP N Harikrishna walked out of the meeting in a huff, peeved over the importance being given to Lokesh.

Why is Ram Charan Teja jealous of Abhishek?

Rama Charan Teja is disappointed that his father and Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi has shelved his plan to return to films. 

 

The actor said he was jealous of Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan.  

 

"I dreamt of doing a song like Kajra Re with dad . I really envy Abhishek Bachchan to have acted with his dad in so many movies." Ram Charan Teja wrote on Twitter.

The actor-turned-politician was supposed to make a comeback in a film which was to be produced by Teja. Chiranjeevi had announced in December 2010 that he would don the grease paint once again for his 150th film.  But that project did not take off because of political developments in the state as well as his Praja Rajyam Party's merger with the Congress.

July 1st is going to be a crucial day for Tollywood. Well, it is not a doomsday but then many are waiting to see the fate of films that are hitting the screens on this day for various reasons. Notable among the films are ‘Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap’ and ‘Virodhi’ which seem to have a keen contest.

 

On the Mumbai front, there is ‘Bbuddah…Hoga Tera Baap’ which has created enough expectations. But since this is Puri Jagannadh’s directorial venture having the likes of Charmee, Subbaraju, many Tollywood audiences are keen to watch it. So, will they vote for this Bollywood venture, remains to be seen.

 

While the ‘Bbuddah…’ wave is on, another film which is making news is ‘Delhi Belly’ and this is the production venture of superstar Aamir Khan. The film is slated to be rather bold.

 

On the Hyderabad front, there is ‘Virodhi’ and ‘Brahmigadi Katha’. While doubts are already flashing for the latter, ‘Virodhi’ is a hot favourite as the trailers are impressive. Sexy Babe ditches Superstar

Bollywood latest sensation Sonakshi Sinha opted out of Kamal Hassan's bilingual film 'Vishwaroopam', citing dates problem. She was to play Kamal's wife in the film.

Sonakshi's decision to opt out comes as a surprise since the actress was very enthusiastic when she initially signed the film. But, her excitement didn't last for longer. As the film failed to go on floors as per schedule, due to the creative differences between Kamal and director Selvaraghavan. Selvaraghavan walked out of the project in the last miniute. After that, Kamal decided to direct the film by himself, which delayed the shoot further.

Sonakshi has no other option but to opt out of the film, due to her prior commitment. The actress was even upset with the fact that she has lost the opportunity to share screen space with legendary Kamal Hassan.

Kamal too was very particular about casting Sonakshi opposite him, after watching her performance in 'Dabangg'. But, all his plans have been washed out with Sonakshi's exit. Now, he is in search for Sonakshi's replacement!

Hero sold his house for Rs 7.5 crore

Rajinikanth's son-in-law and Tamil star Dhanush is on a house hunt now. The actor took some time from his busy schedule to fulfill his dream of having a house of his own in Adyar.

For the past few months, Dhanush has been pre-occupied with Rajini's health. As the Superstar has recovered now, Dhanush could finally spend some time pursuing his dream. Though he had a flat in Mylapore, he wanted to buy a house of his own, so he sold his flat and began hunting for new one.

"Buying a house is a very common desire for every human being and my son had this plan for a long time. Because of a very tight schedule he couldn't accomplish it and to add to that Rajini's health was also not ok, so he had to postpone the plan. Recently he sold his house for Rs 7.5 crore, planning to add some more money and buy the house of his dreams in Adyar. Sizzling beauty Katrina Kaif has done few daredevil stunts for her upcoming film 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara'. 

The role she played in the film demanded the actress to do both dirt biking and deep sea diving, which were so stressful. 

"Both, dirt biking and deep sea diving were more traumatic than I had initially anticipated. I had the basic understanding of smaller bikes, but I had to practice with a bigger and heavier one for the movie. I refused to understand that you've to let the bike fall, as I was being stubborn and trying to prevent it from going down. So I got hurt once or twice. As for diving, I had learnt it in a pool, but had to shoot the scenes in seas with choppy waters. It was so stressful that at the end of the four-day shoot in the waters, I had lost three and half kilos," said Katrina.

Katrina had close encounters with the sharks while shooting in the sea.

"Well, I was told about the sharks later, after we had finished the shoot. I was angry at not being informed earlier, but I was explained that the knowledge could have caused me to panic and hamper my performance. Of course, if I had known about the sharks, I wouldn't have ventured into the waters. About a month later, I heard the place was shut due to sharks," said the actress.

"I have not heard from any association nor have I heard from any one of consequence wanting to ban me because I guess everyone responsible and in a position of power knows the real truth. I have had super success in Magadheera, Maaveran, Mr.Perfect and with the grace of God, my career in the South is going upward. Why would I wish to give up something so good?," she adds. 

Kajal also made it clear that she would do Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films simultaneously and there is no question of choosing one over the other.

Trisha's heart beats for him

Hot beauty Trisha revealed that she had agreed to star in the Tamil film 'Mankatha', only because Ajith is playing the lead in the film. 

"I agreed to star in Mankatha despite being offered a small role is only because the film had Ajith playing the lead," said Trisha. 

The actress, who is a hardcore fan of Ajith's biriyani, says she always loved working with the star.

"Working with Ajith is always a blast. I freaked out on his biriyanis. He is a wonderful cook and his wife Shalini is lucky to have him as her husband. I will surely miss him once shoot gets done," she said.

Recently, the director of 'Mankatha' planned a lip-lock scene with Ajith and Trisha for the film. Trisha immediately agreed to do it, without charging a single penny extra. The reason for it is again the chance to share lip-lock with Ajith. Generally, Trisha demands extra remuneration for lip-locks and excessive skin show. Here, she gave an exception to Ajith. But, the actress was shocked when Ajith took a back step by saying he can’t do this particular scene as his film will be watched by his family and his daughter.

Young Hero Karthi, the most eligible bachelor in Kollywood, is all set to tie the knot on July 3, 2011. The dashing actor, who preferred an arrange marriage, said that he is happy to get married to Ranjani, a gold medallist in MA (English Literature) from leading Chennai college Stella Maris.

While Karthi's brother Surya married his long-time girlfriend, actor Jyotika, the 'Awara' star has been clear that he'd only opt for a woman chosen by his parents.

Karthi says life has changed post engagement.

"Life has changed post my engagement. These days I am constantly on the phone. Ranjani and I speak for hours together. Our conversations are endless," says Karthi.

Though, the actor made secret plans for a honeymoon and will be flying off to an exotic resort and spa abroad, he was tight-lipped about the location.

Ace badminton star from Hyderabad Jwala Gutta, who shot into headlines last year for his alleged affair with former Indian cricket captain and Congress MP Mohammad Azharuddin, got separated from her husband Chetan Anand, another top seed badminton player.

The family court in Hyderabad on Wednesday granted divorce to Jwala and Chetan, after making all attempts to counsel them and keep them together.

The couple applied for divorce in August 2010 and both of them have since been living separately.

The 27-year-old Jwala, a top-seeded mixed doubles player ranking 10 in the world badminton rankings, had a love marriage with Chetan Anand on July 17, 2005. All was well with them till early 2010 when differences surfaced between the two, following the reports about Jwala’s alleged link-up with Azharuddin.
Though Jwala denied the reports of her affair with Azhar, it was an open secret in the badminton circles that both of them were moving closely together. Both of them were spotted together at the badminton academy in Hyderabad, where Azhar used to drop her and pick her up after practice sessions. That naturally anguished Chetan, who remained separately from Jwala since then.

Sexy Actress Katrina Kaif, who is on a career high, has spoke at length about her films and relationships.

To a query on how hard was it to resist getting attracted to super handsome Hrithik Roshan, after an intimate scene in her upcoming film 'Zindagi Naa Milengi Dobara'. 

"Well, nobody would be an actor if he/she were not charming at some level. Hrithik is happily married. We are just here to work. Yes I had fun. But there is no question of getting romantically attracted or having to resist," says Katrina. 

On the reports that she had refused to work with Priyanka Chopra in the film 'Barfee', and also saying no to a film with Deepika Padukone.

"If there is a good film with Priyanka, why will I not say 'yes'? The same applies to me doing a film with Deepika. I didn't opt out of Barfee because Priyanka was in it. I had other reasons. You don't sit at night and make notes that 'I won't do this, I won't do that'," said the 27-year-old actress.

South hottie Ileana is playing the role rejected by Katrina in the film 'Barfee'.

After two break-ups, one with Salman Khan and the other with Ranbir Kapoor, How does it feel to be single again? 

"At times, you have few things in life. Other times, you have work and a relationship as well. At this point, I have only work. So haan, you do focus on that more. But hopefully there will be a time again when...," says the starlet.

Finally, Katrina was not apprehensive to say that she is ready to fall in love again.

"I'm not getting married"

After Kareena Kapoor-Saif Ali Khan break-up reports, now the media speculates that the hot couple is getting ready to marry soon. 

However, Kareena rubbished the rumors saying both she and Saif were too busy to get married at this point of time.

"I know that people have been speculating that we will marry soon, but I have so many movies to finish and Saif is busy with his films. How can we get married now? If we announce that we are going to get married on a particular date, then people will speculate about the guest list and other things," says Kareena.

Kareena, who is upset with the reports of her break-up and marriage, calls them baseless and fake.

"This is all unnecessary news spread by jealous people. I am hurt and upset, as the entire news is false and baseless," said the actress.

Kareena and Saif are planning to set to Paris for a much needed rest and recreation, taking a break from their busy schedule. 

"I have been shooting non-stop. Saif and I are now taking a break and going to Paris for a vacation to spend some time together, as I have four films releasing this year," Kareena confirms.

Siddarth: 'TV Media Cannot Pluck My Hair'

It has often been said by the film nagar folks that actor Siddarth is a talented individual but it is his attitude and headstrong nature which is not getting him favourable response. Now, his recent set of statements in Twitter on the Telugu news channels has triggered another controversy. However, the actor doesn’t seem too fazed about it.

Apparently, the news channels association has demanded an action on Siddarth for his statements. Knowing this, Sidz is reportedly saying this in front of his friends “TV Media or cine circuit cannot pluck my hair. Earlier, they jumped against Prakash Raj, what happened? I don’t want to take my tweet back. Ultimately, talent matters in the cinema industry.”

He added “For what I have the cine folks will always take me. Even if the media projects me on positive or negative note, I will be taken.” Those who heard this are saying “Siddarth’s reaction like this in front of his friends is okay. Let us see if he does the same in front of the media also.”

Balayya's Signal To Attack MS Reddy

Though it has been a while since the controversy about M S Reddy and his book ‘Idhi Naa Kadha’ has begun, the issue has not died down. Thanks to the presence of electronic media, this will be alive for a while and now it is heard that Nandamuri Balakrishna has given his signal to show his reaction.

Recently, there was a program in the TV9 channel about M S Reddy’s doing and his actions were severely criticised by the noted producer Katragadda Prasad. While the onslaught was severe, inside sources say this was the result of Balayya’s indication. The reason is because a lot of negativity was written on N T Rama Rao.

Few incidents were also about NTR Junior and it is heard that Balayya has not taken this sweetly. The talk in filmnagar circles is that the Katragadda Prasad attack is actually an initiation from the Nandamuri family and they add that more of such things are likely to follow.

However, the real reason behind this is it's cinematographer Vijay.C.Kumar. He met with an accident during a shoot of Balakrishna's flick and went bed rest for months. There comes Sekhar, the man of committment and postponed the shoot of his flick inspite of going with a new cameraman. Though Sekhar lost some 10-15 lakhs on all the dates of few character artists in the movie, he cared for the coming of his cameraman not money. Tollywood is saying Kudos to Sekhar Kammula!

"I panicked and pulled out" says Sexy Heroine

Sexy siren Dia Mirza, who recently turned producer, says being independent at the age of 17 helped her in money management.

"I suppose being independent at 17 made me money wise more than anything else. I have never depended on my family," says Dia Mirza.

The actress says her best investment so far has been buying an apartment at the age of 20.

"Buying an apartment at Pali Hill in Bandra. I was 20 at the time. Today the prices have shot up and when I look back I think it was the wisest thing I did," she said.

However, she blames herself for making a worst investment decision.

"I had invested in mutual funds and when the market dropped, I panicked and pulled out. I should have let it stay I wouldn't have lost as much," said the actress.

That worst investment decision she had made in the past didn't stop Dia Mirza from sharing a few investment tips, as she is more confident now.

"Save money in traditional forms of investments like fixed deposits. If you can, buy property but buy it at the right time, not when the markets are going through the roof. If the stock markets are down don't panic. Hold on to your stock," Dia said.

We are aware that glamour queen Katrina Kaif topped the list of '100 Sexiest Women 2011', which was held by the Men's magazine.

The list is based on SMSes and Online Voting.

Katrina surpassed Deepika Padukone, who grabbed this title last year. A whooping 35,000 votes were polled in favor of Katrina Kaif.

This is the third time that Kat has topped the sexiest woman poll. She won the same title in 2008 and subsequently in 2009.

Katrina says she would show her grandchildren her magazine covers on a wall after 50 years.

"First time I got this title, I was very shocked. Second time I got, I was like it's a lot of fun. And now this year, I think it's been a wonderful shoot. It's always nice, because I would say that when you have grandchildren and you look back over those years, I mean 50 years from now, I could have those magazine covers on a wall and I can say one time I was considered sexy," said Katrina Kaif.

I can't shoot with pregnant Aish

One man who is upset with Aishwarya Rai's pregnancy is none other than her awaited film 'Heroine' director Madhur Bhandarkar.

Till the news broke out to media, the director was unaware of the fact that he is working with preganant Aish. However, his dreams were stattered as he has realised that there is no way he can shoot the film with the dates given to him by the actress. So, Madhur Bhandarkar has finally decided to shelve the film.

The film 'Heroine' is about a life of an actress, which showcases both ups & downs she has under gone. The role requires Aishwarya to smoke, dance, run around and do things, which are normally not advisable for a pregnant woman. Apart from being worried about not being able to shoot with a five-month pregnant Ash, the director is also concerned that she might not be available when the post-production and promotional work starts.

While the director has decided to go underground for a while after shelving the project, to keep himself away from the media glare.

Actor's Daughter delighted with Gay Marriage

Bollywood beauty Sonam Kapoor expressed her delight on her Social Networking page over legalizing Gay Marriages by New York Senate.

Welcoming New York's latest gay-marriage law, the actress joined in the celebration.

"Finally. Love conquers all. Gay Marriage Approved by New York Senate. Yay!!!," Sonam tweeted.

In the meantime, She rubbished the rumors of her starring in Kamal Haasan's film Viswaroopam and Vijay-AR Murugadoss's untitled film.

"Dudes and duddettes.. Have not been offered any film. I would love to work with the above mentioned stalwarts but I aint so lucky," she added.

Sonam even denied rumors of her film with dad Anil Kapoor. She says it's too early to share share screen with her father.
