For any news channel, the face of their company is the news readers who
present any news with etiquette and style. In the past we never know
when, a news reader quits and when, a new one comes. Recently two news
readers gave a big shock on a live show by announcing their resignation.
USA's
Bangor city based ABC World 7 news anchors Cindy Michaels and Tony
Consiglio resigned on air, saying that the present show they are hosting
is the last one. As news readers of one of the biggest TV Channel of
America, the two has literally given a big shock on 'live show' as they
haven't informed about their plans to anyone before that minute. However
while talking to a local news paper, both stated that they are not
happy with the way management is treating from the last six years.
Cindy
Michaels also stated that ethics of journalism are getting beaten below
the belt and supported her decision of resigning on live-show, saying
that she will not get a chance to say goodbye to viewers if she resigns
offline.
Responding on their resignation, the channel's station
vice president Mike Palmer said that sometimes people leave before they
are officially told to leave. Well, that is a common answer from any
management!
